Since its establishment in 2014, our firm has grown to a team of highly skilled, professional, and friendly lawyers, conveyancers, and support staff, working across three locations – Parkes, Forbes & Dubbo.

OUR HISTORY
THE BEGINNING
Allwright Bourke Lawyers and Conveyancing was established in April 2014 by Director Steph Hughes who went on to open the Parkes office in January 2015. This was the start of something much bigger, a physical presence in a town that prides itself on being a rural economic hub for the central west of NSW.
Our presence in Parkes was exceptionally well met. The Parkes community embraced our firm with warm open arms and our business grew from strength to strength. We provided a new, innovative and professional legal option.
PARKES OFFICE
It wasn’t long before we outgrew our first Parkes office and in May 2016, Allwright Bourke. acquired the office of Callachor & Helby Solicitors at 19 Court Street, Parkes, and the staff of that firm joined our team. It was full steam ahead and exciting times indeed. We became conveniently located in the heart of the CBD, with an even bigger and better team of people.
FORBES OFFICE
With so much impact being achieved locally it wasn’t long before Forbes “came-a-knocking” and in January 2017, we acquired the office of Palmers Solicitors which led to the establishment of our Forbes office at 9 Harold Street. This expansion allowed Allwright Bourke. to grow its strong Forbes connections and build on our existing networks to better service Forbes and surrounding areas.
GROWING TEAM
Our influence in Forbes was such that in July 2018, we acquired McGroders Solicitors and the staff of that firm joined our growing team. We re-located the previous McGroders practice to our existing offices in Harold Street Forbes and seamlessly carried on providing exceptional legal services to the Forbes and greater community.
DUBBO OFFICE
In 2022, Allwright Bourke opened its first Dubbo office. Conveniently located in the heart of town, the office will perfectly complement the firm’s existing service offerings. The office has been designed as a hub for the firm’s busy Dubbo Court roster, while offering a centralised meeting location for clients in the Dubbo community and further west, who travel to the town to access services.
2022
Senior Solicitor Jess Bourke, who has been with the firm since 2016, became a Director and owner. Steph and Jess are working together to continue to provide excellent legal services across the Central West.
OUR REBRAND
Hughes & Co. rebrands to Allwright Burke Lawyers & Conveyancing
LAWREP ACQUISITION
In September 2023, Allwright Bourke acquired LawRep, expanding our services to the Newcastle, Central Coast, Hunter Valley, and Sydney Regions.
JURISPERITUS ACQUISITION
Allwright Bourke acquired Sydney-based Jurisperitus and owner, Mukund Sharma, joined the team.
David Fletcher & Associates Acquisition
Allwright Bourke acquired David Fletcher & Associates, expanding our services to Tumut NSW. David Fletcher & Associates is a law firm that has been serving the Tumut community for over 40 years.
